Copy the installer program (EmpireXP55.msi) to a location on your hard drive (e.g., C:\temp).
Run the installer program by double-clicking on the EmpireXP55.msi and follow the on-screen installation instructions.

Empire XP 5.5 64-Bit (amd64 / em64t)
Empire XP is now also available as a
native 64-Bit application for Windows XP 64 bits and Vista 64.
As explained at the Microsoft website, the new Windows x64 run on these
machines: "AMD Athlon 64,
AMD Opteron, and Intel with EM64T".
The 32- and 64-bit versions are identical in functionality.
Downloading older versions of Empire XP
If for any reason you want to
download older versions of Empire XP,
you can just type in the URL (e.g. version 4.4:
http://www.janbuurstrasoftware.com/empirexp44.zip), and
your browser should either prompt you to save the file or will automatically
download the file.
Older versions available: 3.0 4.0 4.1 4.2 4.3 4.4 5.0 5.1 5.2 5.3 5.4...
Version 5.0 no longer supports Win98/Me.
Version 5.1 no longer supports Win2000.
